Founder Biography:
Elder Thomas A. Mowrey, M.A.
My faith journey began when I was almost 10 years old (in April of 1969) when I heard and responded to God's call to dicipleship by choosing to be baptized in His church (in spite of my great fear of water!). In February of 1990 at the age of 30 I was called to the priesthood office of Priest. Six years later in March of 1996 I accepted the call to the priesthood office of Elder. Like my faith journey, my formal education has also developed as a series of progressive steps, begining with my attendance at the University of Tampa, in Tampa, Florida, where I earned the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in December of 1996. During this time I also served as Associate Pastor for the Community of Christ in Clearwater, FL., and then as Pastor until January of 2004. Sensing God's direction to improve my pastoral counseling skills, I attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA earning the Master of Arts degree in Counseling & Human Relations in 2006. I am now currently pursuing a PhD in Human Services from Capella University in order to further expand my counseling skills and add depth of understanding regarding how best to meet the psychological, social and spiritual needs of God's people. I expect to graduate in the Fall of 2011.

Donations of technology and other media, including books are also now
being accepted for Our Family Information Resource Center Library which
provides the public access to audio/visual educational resources to educate
persons who are interested in learning more about helpful resources.
